The cemetery was surveyed in August 1891 and was first known as the Grandview Methodist Cemetery. It is now under the control of the Evangelical Fairview and Grandview Cemetery Association. Mill Creek Cemetery was relocated in the eastern half of this cemetery at the time of the Tuttle Creek Dam construction. The bell and stone archway in the cemetery are from a Methodist Church constructed in 1890 which was demolished for Tuttle Creek Dam. The congregation salvaged the stone arch doorway of the vestibule and the 500 pound bell from the belfry and erected it here as a memorial.
