We are a non-profit organization formed in 1963. We are dedicated to the preservation of genealogical records and to helping individuals in researching their family histories. The library serves genealogical researchers and is an important source for anyone with Kansas ties.

The Society is a member of the Kansas Council of Genealogical Societies (KCGS) and the Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS).

All gifts and donations made to the RCGS are deductible on federal income tax returns under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. Members may suggest books for purchase, and if approved, RCGS will pay 1/2 the cost with the requestor paying the other 1/2.
